Darren founded the firm in January of 2019 and is dedicated to fighting for justice for his injured clients. Darren is a skilled, meticulous, and tenacious personal injury attorney who has litigated cases throughout the courts of New York. “No case is too big or too small when it involves obtaining justice or what we like to call MOOREJUSTICE for the right client and their families. Born and raised in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland, Darren’s dream from the earliest age was to become a lawyer. After graduating from high school in Ireland and earning his law degree (LLB) from Griffith College Dublin, Darren came to the US to sit for the New York Bar Exam at the age of 22, one of the youngest examinees to sit and pass the exam. After passing the exam, Darren made the decision to relocate permanently to New York.
Upon arrival in New York, Darren began his legal career working with a litigation firm based on the 77th floor of the iconic Empire State Building. It was there that Darren honed his legal writing skills and also obtained invaluable experience throughout the Courts of the State of New York. It was also there that Darren began dealing with personal injury cases for the first time and realized that he had found his passion in “representing those who can’t represent or fight for themselves.”
After a number of years in midtown Manhattan, Darren obtained a job with one of the top New York personal injury firms and spent seven years at that firm. There, he focused his practice on construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, trip and fall accidents and premises liability accidents. Darren worked under and alongside some of New York’s best attorney’s and gained invaluable experience. During his tenure, Darren spent nearly every day in the Courts of New York, arguing motions, attending conferences and trying cases before juries when necessary as well as utilizing his negotiation skills both inside and outside of the courtroom to settle personal injury cases.
“One of my first injury cases was an undocumented Irish construction worker who suffered a serious leg injury on a job site. Just being able to help him navigate and get through the legal process and ultimately get him the compensation that he deserved, compensation that covered his injuries and helped support him for the rest of his life, was one of the most satisfying things I had ever done and genuinely, from there, I knew this was my calling.

In 2016, Mr. Moore was selected to the New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars list and has been selected every year since, through 2026 (eleven consecutive years). Rising Stars is limited to no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state, chosen through peer nominations, independent research and peer evaluation (selection process).
In June 2023, Darren completed the three-week Gerry Spence Method trial lawyer program at Thunderhead Ranch in Dubois, Wyoming, founded by legendary trial lawyer Gerry Spence. Read about his three weeks at the ranch.
In January 2019, Darren then founded The Law Offices of Darren T. Moore P.C. As he states himself,
“At the prior firms I worked alongside and I worked under some of the very best attorneys in the field and got invaluable experience. I settled hundreds and hundreds of cases and where needed, I tried cases to verdict before judge and jury. Trying cases is something I thoroughly enjoy doing and it’s also important that defendants and the insurance companies know that you are happy to put your case before a jury if they won’t accept responsibility and compensate your client. With all of that experience, I knew it was time for me to set up my own firm and provide my clients going forward with the outstanding service that they deserve in the pursuit of justice for them and their families.”
Mr. Moore has also received the Avvo Clients’ Choice Award (2017), was named one of the 10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys (2018 and 2019), was selected as one of New York’s Top 10 Attorneys by Attorney and Practice Magazine (2019), and was named to the Irish Echo 40 Under 40 (2020).
From February 2024 to March 2026, Darren served as President of the Irish American Bar Association of New York (IABANY), which has connected Irish and Irish-American lawyers in New York since 1987. During his term the association grew its networking events, hosted the 2025 Wine Geese Awards at the Consulate General of Ireland honoring Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery and Casey Ryan of Reed Smith LLP, and partnered with the Brehon Law Society of New York to make sandwiches for a community fridge on the Upper East Side. As President, he also joined a roundtable of Irish-American community leaders at City Hall in March 2024.
In October 2024, Darren was named to the Irish Legal 100, an annual list founded by the Irish Voice newspaper that recognizes lawyers, judges and legal scholars of Irish heritage across the United States. Honorees were celebrated at a reception at the residence of the Ambassador of Ireland in Washington, D.C., attended by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett and the Attorney General of Ireland, Rossa Fanning SC.
In November 2024, IrishCentral named Darren Ecosystem Engagement Champion of the Year at its inaugural Legal Elite Awards at the American Irish Historical Society on Fifth Avenue, the same night U.S. Congressman Bruce Morrison received the Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2025, Darren served as one of the presiding judges for the IrishCentral Legal Elite Awards.

Aside from his legal passion, Darren is heavily involved within the Irish Community here in New York and in particular, with the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) based in Gaelic Park in the Bronx. An avid sports fan, Mr. Moore played soccer in the Irish Eircom U-21 league prior to his relocation to New York and upon arrival Mr. Moore represented the New York Gaelic Football team in the 2012 All Ireland Senior Football Championship. He also won a New York Senior County Football medal in 2013 for the Kerry GAA Club here in New York. In 2021, the Law Offices of Darren T. Moore P.C., sponsored jerseys for Darren’s native Irish county, Co. Westmeath when they won the New York Intermediate Football Championship and the firm continues to provide support to the club and the community at large.
As part of his affiliation with numerous Irish organizations here in New York, Darren led and coordinated an initiative in 2012-2013 to provide free legal assistance to families affected by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. Mr. Moore is also involved in his local community and is a regular reader at his local church.
