Darren T. Moore Named to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum

On August 28, 2026, Darren T. Moore, founder of MooreJustice New York City Accident & Injury Lawyers, was approved for membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national organization of trial lawyers who have achieved verdicts, awards or settlements of one million dollars or more for their clients.

What the Million Dollar Advocates Forum is

Founded in 1993, the Forum is limited to attorneys who have acted as principal counsel in at least one case in which their client received a verdict, award or settlement of $1 million or more. According to the Forum, it has approximately 7,800 members across the United States, and fewer than 1 percent of U.S. lawyers are members. Membership also connects lawyers with a national network of experienced trial attorneys for referrals and the exchange of information on major cases.

The results behind the membership

Darren qualified for membership on the strength of multiple seven- and eight-figure results for injured New Yorkers, most of them for construction workers hurt on job sites. They include:

• $11,250,000 settlement for a union mason who fell through a plywood-covered floor opening, plus a full waiver of an approximately $838,000 workers' compensation lien
• $5,250,000 for a union bricklayer who fell from a parapet roof
• $5,025,000 for a client injured in a three-car collision
• $4,060,000 for a worker who fell from a sidewalk shed
• $4,025,000 for an elderly pedestrian knocked down in a Brooklyn crosswalk, after the driver's insurer had tendered just $25,000
• $3,300,000 for a client whose vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer
• $2,862,600 jury verdict for a union carpenter injured using a nail gun on a construction site

A verdict won in the courtroom

The nail gun case went to trial in Manhattan in November 2025. Darren's client, a union carpenter, was seriously injured while using a pneumatic nail gun on a construction project. At trial, Darren showed the jury how the tool had visibly degraded and how the way it was maintained on site contradicted the manufacturer's own manual. The jury found that the defendants violated the New York Industrial Code, which requires that equipment on construction sites be kept in safe working condition, and that the violation caused the injury. The jury also found unanimously that the carpenter was not at fault in any way. The verdict totaled approximately $2.86 million.
